Welcome to Tay Court Surgery

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Withdrawal of prescription email service

As part of our commitment to improving our services to make them both more efficient and secure we will be terminating our email prescriptions service as of 31/01/2019. This means that after this date no prescription requests received via email will be processed. If patients wish to continue requesting prescriptions online then they will need to register for our Online Services. This is an advanced system which allows patients to request prescriptions and book appointments via a secure web-based service. For further information, please ask a member of our Reception staff.

SMS Messaging

We are pleased to announce that Tay Court Surgery are now using a SMS messaging service to improve our communication with patients. We are using this service to replace the clinic invites which we currently send via the post and to send appointment reminders for selected clinics. We also use it to contact patients with test results. If you wish to register for this service please let us know by contacting our Reception.

Change of Practice Boundary

The Practice Boundary changed as of 20/07/15. This change has been brought about due to the ongoing GP recruitment problems that we (and many other Dundee surgeries) are encountering.

What this means...

...for New patients

As of 20/07/15 we will not be accepting any new patient registrations outwith our new boundary limits. Our new boundary will run along Greendykes Road from Broughty Ferry Road to the Scott Fyffe roundabout. The boundary will then follow the Kingsway as far as the Forfar Road junction then up Forfar Road to the junction of Emmock Road. Then the boundary turns westwards and runs through Kirkton of Strathmartine and includes Muirhead, Fowlis and Longforgan and returning along the River Tay to the Broughty Ferry Road/Greendykes Road junction. For a map of the boundary please click here.

...for Existing patients

For those of our currently registered patients who live in areas outwith our new boundary, they will still remain on our list. However, any existing patients who move to a new address outwith our new boundaries will not be able to remain registered with our Surgery and will have to register with another GP Practice. When moving, you may be required to show evidence of your new address.

Some of the areas which will NOT be covered within our new boundary include: Fintry, Douglas, Whitfield, Linlathen, Longhaugh, Happyhillock, Mid-Craigie, Ballumbie, Hawick Drive, Baldovie, Wellbank, Broughty Ferry and Monifieth.

If you have any questions regarding this change please ask at Reception.
